About the Charitable Fund Award
The Board of Directors of Commonwealth Community Trust (CCT) is proud to sponsor the Charitable Fund Award, a program that offers assistance with the purchase of equipment or services to residents who demonstrate a financial need.
Over the last 15 years, the Charitable Fund Award (CFA) has provided $1,095,528 awards for children and adults with special needs. Established in 2009 to support CCT’s mission of helping people with special needs improve their quality of life, this program offers assistance with the purchase of equipment or services to residents who demonstrate a financial need.
2023 Charitable Fund Award
From new smiles and health improvements to new communication capabilities and safer accessibility, the Charitable Fund Award has made a difference in the lives of its award recipients.
In 2023, award funds totaling $111,438 were given to 152 individuals, whose applications were submitted on their behalf by 34 nonprofit organizations and public service agencies. The maximum award per individual is $1,000. The following chart illustrates how the 2023 award funds were allocated and how CCT’s program has grown since its inception in 2009.
